The Old Cottage and Garden

You have the option of purchasing the original stone cottage, its outbuildings and garden along with Frogswell. The cottage dates back to the 1800s or perhaps even earlier. It was lived in by the Foy family till around 1930 when they moved to their new house - the one we now live in.

The cottage needs a lot of renovation work but it is a project that could be undertaken at his leisure by a keen and strong D-I-Y fan and along with the adjoining outbuildings could provide a snug and cosy home with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room. This could be used as guest accommodation, for other family members or as self-catering accommodation.

Frogswell is near the River Moy and there is plenty of opportunity to rent to fishermen from Europe as well as to tourists. Behind the old cottage is a grassed area with some fruit trees.. the best of which is a Victoria plum. It would make an ideal spot to keep a few chickens or geese. In front of the cottage you could have a tranquil seating area before stepping down to the greenhouses and through to the small lawn surrounded by interesting and unusual plants. Go through the beech hedge, follow the path round the pond, home to a large golden Koi and some smaller fish, through the birch trees to the vegetable garden, divided up into sections with black, red and white currants. There are also apple trees, a medlar and raspberries.

The total area is of the cottage and its garden is almost one acre.
